Biography
Ezekiel Cooper CHEW was born January 17, 1822 in Gloucester Co., New Jersey, the son of Nathaniel & Mary (WEST) CHEW.
Ezekiel married December 29, 1842[1] to Caroline Bishop WOOLSTON, daughter of Abel B. & Rachel (WOOLSTON) WOOLSTON. Caroline was born February 6, 1826 in Vincentown, Burlington Co., New Jersey, and died February 27, 1879 in Rossburg, Starke Co., Ohio.
Ezekiel married secondly to Laura [________][2]. Ezekiel married thirdly to Mary Jane (RIDDLE) ADAMS[3], widow of Jonathan ADAMS.
Ezekiel graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He practiced medicine in Ohio and Indiana, primarily in Darke Co., OH and in Jay Co., Indiana.

Death & Legacy
Obituary
From: South Bend Weekly Tribune, September 1, 1888 Mr. Chew, west of town, died on the 27th ins., of dropsy, with which he had suffered for a long time. The funeral was held at the Christian church on the 29th, Rev. B. McDermott officiating. The remains were buried in the cemetery north of town.
