Biography

Caroline was born in 1876 in Islington, London, England, the daughter of William Ebenezer Chew and Susannah Caroline Skinner and the sister of Annie E Chew, Minnie Rachael Chew, Daisy Millicent Chew, Lilian May Chew, William John Ebenezer Chew, Frederick Arthur Joseph Chew, Rosaline Violet Chew and Harold Oliver Chew ^[1].

She married Ebenezer Chew in about 1897, possibly in Sparkbrook, Warwickshire, England^[2] as her children were born there. Ebenezer was possibly a widower with five children still living with him when then married. Their children were Millicent May Rudder, Maurice William Tudor Rudder, Violet Irene Rudder and Arthur Roland Rudder.

Caroline migrated from England to Australia with her husband and family, p0ssibly arriving in Queensland aboard the "Limerick" in 1913.

Caroline died on 7 August 1962 at Mount Gravatt, Queensland, Australia ^[3] and was buried in the Mount Gravatt Cemetery, Mount Gravatt, Queensland, Australia^[4].
