Biography

Bertha was born 27 Jul 1893 in Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario, Canada. ^[1] She was Baptised Bertha Sophia in Church of the Messiah (Church of England) on 11 Mar 1896. ^[2]

Bertha lived with her parents until about 1910. ^[3] She lived in Calgary, Alberta near her brother Malcolm and family from after 1909. In 1913, she was a stenographer for R G Dun & Co., Calgary, Alberta, Canada. ^[4]

Frederick William Steadman and Bertha Chidlow married 15 June 1914 at St. Stephen's Church in Calgary. ^[5] They went to live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. ^[6] From 1920, they lived in Wheaton, Du Page, Illinois, USA at 136 S. Blanchard St. ^[7]

Bertha died 3 Apr 1929 in childbirth in Elmhurst, Du Page, Illinois, USA. She was buried 5 Apr 1929 in Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, Du Page, Illinois, USA. ^{[8] [9]}
