Nice article today about the first Catholic baptisms in Massachusetts AND your "discovery" of that very interesting record set about the French Spoliation Claims. Curious to know why it was so difficult to get at those records. And interesting to learn about Gopher Records.

And in the process I learned to disambiguate you from another genealogist, Christopher Childs !

Thanks! I gathered from David and the Bob from Gopher Records that not everyone at the National Archives was aware of the collection, told to come back later when someone else would be there (then they weren't), etc., that it required someone who at the National Archives over several days to eventually get the finding aid and then make the request.

Hello Christopher,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
