Biography

Roxanna M. Childers, daughter of John Childers and Rebecca (Page) Childers, was born in 1853 in North Carolina.[1]

She appeared on the census of 20 July 1860 in the home of her parents at Burke, North Carolina.[2] She appeared on the census of 10 Sep. 1870 in the home of her mother at Icard, Burke, North Carolina.[3]

She married Thomas M. Howard, her first cousin once removed and son of Simore Howard and Darcie (Huffman) Howard, on 15 Dec. 1873 at Caldwell County, North Carolina.[4][1]

She and Thomas appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 at Icard, Burke, North Carolina.[5]

Roxanna died on 2 July 1941 at Burke County, North Carolina and was buried at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Connelly Springs, Burke County, North Carolina. Her memorial has links to those of family members.[1]
