Elizabeth and Thomas Diprose, together with their eight children, ranging in age from 18 years to under 2 years, migrated from England to Van Diemen's Land in 1822/3. They left England around December, 1822 on the Berwick and arrived at Hobart Town on June 21, 1823, after a voyage of about six months. Their ninth child, Isaac, was born four months after their arrival in Hobart. [1]
