  • In North Carolina history, Wilkes County was named in 1779 from part of Surry County. [1] However Surry County was formed in 1771 from Rowan County, Rowan wasn't a county until 1753 and was formed from Anson County and to go back to the birth year above, Anson was formed from Bladen County in 1750. [2]

After no replies and the error suggestion page having this as uncertain and the mother being too young to have her as a daughter I am going to remove Rachel Perkins Rachel Perkins

I am finding research to suggest the maiden name may have been Teague and not Childress...
