Biography
- Robert was born in 1756 in Amelia Co Or, Prince Edward Co, VA. He was the son of John D Childress Sr and Rachel (Perkins) Childress.[1]
- When Robert was about 25 he married Rachel Eastridge Estes on 6 December 1781 in Prince Edward, Virginia. The couple had 5 children: Nancy Childers, Capt William Childress, John W Childress, Henry Childress and Abraham Childress.[2][3][4]
- Robert died at the age of about 80 on 22 November 1836.[5]
