Biography

Betsey Childs was born on February 25, 1854 in Humphrey, Cattaraugus, New York to Cephas Childs and Mary Ann Guthrie. Her father was a farmer. ^{[1] [2] [3][4]}

Betsey married Charles W. Fay in about 1873. In 1875, they lived in Allegany, Cattaraugus, New York where Charles was a farmer. ^[5]

In 1880, Betsey, Charles and their two young sons, Adrian and Erwin, lived in Humphrey, Cattaraugus, New York. ^[6] Betsey and Charles continued to live in Humphrey throughout their lives. They also had a daughter, Edna. ^{[7] [8] [9]} Charles died in 1928. ^[10]

Betsey died on February 11,1936 in Humphrey, Cattaraugus, New York and was buried in Willoughby Cemetery, Great Valley, Cattaraugus, New York. ^{[11] [12]}
