There is a record of the baptism of an Ann Childs on 19 June 1733 in Yetminster, Dorset, England. She is the daughter of Joseph and Mary Childs. [1] It is likely that this record related to our Ann Childs, although it would be good to have an explanation as to why Joseph and Mary, whose other children were baptised in Melbury Osmond or Melbury Bubb, would have travelled the extra two miles to get to Yetminster for the ceremony.
The wedding of William Strong and Ann Childs took place on 26 July 1756 in Melbury Sampford, Dorset, England. [2] The witnesses were her father Joseph Childs and Ellis Daw.
There are christening records of two children, both christened in the triangle of Melbury Bubb, Melbury Sampford and Melbury Osmond, Dorset.
She passed away about 1762. (No evidence for this date.)
