Biography

Childs was born October 6, 1935 in Precinct 1, Shelby, Texas to father Frederick Harrison Childs and mother Cassie Bell Williamson.[1]

Mack Gay Childs was enumerated as son of the head of household at Route 2, Arcadia Road, Center, Shelby County, Texas for the April 15, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1936 in Texas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Fred Childs, wife Cassie Childs, son F H Childs, daughter Dimple Ruth Childs and son Doyce Childs.[2]

Mack Gay Childs is buried at Powdrill Cemetery in Center, Shelby County, Texas, USA.[3]
