Daniel Washington "DC" Chisholm Jr. was born on January 6, 1865 in Auburn, Lincoln County, Mississippi.[1] He was the son of Daniel Chisholm and Elizabeth Nettles. At the age of 7, he was in his parent's home in Fanklin County, Mississippi near the Meadville Post Office. He had 6 siblings in the home with him.[2] In 1880, at age 14, he was Helping out with chores on the family Farm with his father and 3 siblings and a neice.[3]
He married Rhoda Ann Rushing (1867-1932) on April 25, 1889 in Franklin County, Mississippi.[4] They had 12 children.
They made their home in Amite County, Mississippi in 1910, where he had a Farm, with Rhoda helping with the farm, Home and children, Ada-20, India-18, Hines-16, Burket-14, Leona-11, Theona-9, Alberta-7, and Brister-3. with the help of Aunt Myria Eaton-61.[5] In 1920, they were on their farm with India-24, Berket-23, Leona-21, Theona-19, Aberta-17 and Brister-12.[6] Leona-26, Euda-30 Buster-23, were the only chldren left in the home in 1930, but their 3 grand children, Leona's children, Junior-4, Williams-4, Wansey-3, and Clinton-1 were in the home.[7]
He passed away on January 18, 1947, at the age of 82, in Pike County, Mississippi, and was buried in the Adams United Methodist Church Cemetery in Auburn, Lincoln county, Mississippi.[1]
