A wedding was celebrated at Langothlin Union Church, when Mr Fred Townroe and Miss Chisholm were united in the Holy bonds of matrimony by Rev E J Merchant: There were a large number of friends present to witness the ceremony.
In 1914 they were living in Jinghi Jinghi Jondowaie, near Dalby and Frederick was employed as a contractor.
When Ellen died they were living at Warwick Rd Killarney in Queensland.
The death occurred on Friday afternoon at her home at Killar ney of Mrs. Katharine Helen Townroe. wife of Mr. Fred Townroe. The late Mrs. Town roe, who had been ill for some time, is survived by her hus band. four daughters and two sons. Thie daughters are Mrs. I. Merchant, Mrs. E. Cook, Mrs. V. Lennon and Miss Bella Townroe, all of Sydney. Sons are Messrs. Claude Townroe, Killamey, and James (A.I.F). There are also thiree sisters — Mrs. P, E. White head - (Queensland), Mrs. L. E. Edmonds (Sydney) , and Mrs. J. H. Brazier (Glen Innes). and three brothers — Messrs. Clarrie (Lismore) , Bernie (Tenterfleld ) , and Archie Chisholm Townroe (Queensland). A step sister is Mrs Alex Roser; and step-brothers are Messrs. Cliff and Norman Hocklev, of Tent Hill.
