My name is Carole Johnson, I was born in Staffordshire, England, daughter of Sidney Leslie Chittem (1918-1966) and Audrey Elizabeth Longstaff- (1925-2012) I married John George Johnson (1942-1979) and have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

I have been researching my own family history since the early 1990's and have helped many other people with their own family history.

I look forward to receiving your help when needed and hope I can be equally as helpful to other researchers and this great Wikitree project.

I have transcribed George Blundell Longstaff's magnificent book, "The Langstaffs of Teesdale and Weardale," which you can find on my website at:-

Please also check out the above website for orphan photographs of U.K. ancestors, mostly Cumbrian, uploaded from my old Photograph Album Collection.
Some photo's are complete with names and small pedigrees connected to them.

There are approximately 14,500 individuals in my Longstaff Linking Project, and 8, 500 Ancestors and Relatives in my own Family Tree, so hopefully I can help connect some missing links.

Yes, I am still active and answering all emails. At present not so much time spent on the WikiTree website as usual due to health problems but I am happy to do anything I can to help when contacted. I have connected many trees on WikiTree, especially those to do with my pet project, "The Longstaff's.")
Hi Carole,

On behalf of the Connectors Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.

All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi, Carole. Thanks for adding Philip de Bryan as son of Sir Guy. Saved me from creating a duplicate. Could you change LNAB to Bryan with CLN de Bryan? Seems to be Wikitree usage and I'm sure I would have missed it if I'd try to add Philip. Trying to sort out the Bryan family so it would be great if you'd keep an eye on my chatter in G2G and chip in.

Thank you Carole for notifying me of the duplication of my namesake (of long ago) George Burrell. Interested to know if you have more information about him and his descendants.

Thank you Carol for the merge with Isabella Pluis. I am still researching our family tree and your information will be wonderful.

Hi Carole, Thanks for helping with a Campbell family profile, "A merge of Rachel English (Campbell-28068) and Rachel English (Campbell-26710) was just completed by Carole Johnson. Please see: for the merged profile."

If you have the opportunity, please research George Washington Campbell-28049 as a possible first husband of Loretta Elvira Sanderson-2591

Thanks for all you do, Ron J. Campbell

Thank you for letting me know about the merge. I'm not sure why I had two profiles for the same person to begin with. O_o
