Biography

Fannie M. is the daughter of Hiram and Emeline Chittenden. For several years, Fannie preferred to use her middle name, but the records do not have consistency, so I can’t be sure exactly what that unusual name was. Variously, the name appears as Maudarey, Mandana, Mandany, Mandina, and Handany.

Fannie married George W. Wheeler.
