Priscilla Choate was baptized in 1767, at the Fourth Church in Ipswich in the Province of Massachusetts Bay. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Choate and Eunice Giddings.[1] Based on her reported age at the time of her death (84 years, 5 months), she would probably have been born in late September or early October of 1767.
Priscilla married John Story on 11 Apr 1787, in Ipswich.[2] The vital records collection (a transcription) for Enfield, New Hampshire, indicates that the marriage took place in Enfield. Since their first-born child, John, was born in 1787, in Ipswich, a detail confirmed by the same Enfield records,[3] the church in Ipswich is no doubt the location for the marriage.
The following children, none provided with given names in the Ipswich records and all children of John and with no mother's name provided, were registered in Ipswich after the date of Priscilla's and John's marriage:
[[John Story (b. 17 Dec 1787; bp.? 19 Dec 1787, Chebacco Parish Church, Ipswich)
Asa G. Story (b. 11 Nov 1806, Enfield; m. Almira Johnson 10 Oc 1830)[15]
Eli Story (b. 21 Nov 1808, Enfield; m. (1) Sarah C. Skinner (2) Emily (Thayer) Fremch Thompson 22 Apr 1873; d. 28 May 1887, Enfield; bu. Montcalm Cemetery, Enfield)[16]
Priscilla (or Prissilla) Choate Story died at the age of 84 years, 5 months, on 5 Mar 1852, in Enfield, Grafton County, New Hampshire. She was buried in the Montcalm Cemetery, now in Enfield Center, New Hampshire.[17]
