He was the son of Pierre Chouinard and Marie-Madeleine Morin.
On 20 Nov 1781, in St-Jean-Port-Joli, Pierre Chouinard son of Pierre Chouinard and Marie Magdelaine Morin married Marie Angelique Leclair daughter of Jean Baptiste Leclair and Clair Thibault. Witnesses included both fathers, one signature: Louis Fournier. [1]
