Honolee was born in 1910, the oldest child of Wallace and Nealia (Carr) Chrisman. She was the sister of George, Robert Henry, Imogene, Julia, Darlene, Billie Virginia, and Wallace, Jr. Honolee was born deaf. She attended and graduated from the school for the deaf in Danville, Kentucky. Honolee never married. She lived most of her life in the family home in Knob Lick. She passed away there in 1991 and was buried in the Chrisman Cemetery on the hill behind the house.
