Biography

Margaret Chrisman was born in 1767. She was the daughter of Isaac Chrisman and Jane Scott [1]

Margaret passed away in 1823. [2] [3]

Burial: Felix Rogers Cemetery, Speedwell, Claiborne County, Tennessee, USA.


The CHRISMAN family was from LEE County Virginia, where John VAN BEBBER met and married Margaret CHRISMAN, oldest daughter of Isaac CHRISMAN and Jean SCOTT.

They married about 1787. Isaac CHRISMAN was killed by Indian massacre there in 1776, ten years before the Van Bibber's and YOAKUM's settled there.

Jean SCOTT-CHRISMAN remarried Nathaniel HIX (HICKS)
