Eric Harlan Christensen was born 10 October 1978 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States, son of Gene Harlan Christensen (1942–1991) and Katherine Vann Davenport (1946–2022).
Eric married Amanda Karr).
Eric was adopted by Gene Christensen and Katherine Vann (Davenport) Skiles as soon as I was born. I was brought home from the hospital on Friday the 13th. My adoption profile is Baby Boy Phil.
While persuing the Boy Scouts of America's Genealogy Merit Badge in the early 1990s, I caught the research bug and haven't stopped.
My biological family comes from the Appalacha portion of North and South Carolina.

When you have the chance, please add your South Central Appalachia interests next to your name on our South Central Team page. While you’re there, you can read what others are working on and get to know us a little bit. I think I've already seen you on the Discord channel, but if not, jump in! – we are a friendly bunch!
Also, please review our Reliable (and Unreliable) Sources for the Appalachia Project to help with sourcing our Profiles as you add or come across them. WikiTree requires valid sources on all Profiles and our Project has certain requirements for sources. Check the Appalachia Stickers Page for tips on adding stickers to profiles. In fact, you can add a team sticker to your own page!
I am always available for any questions or help. Thanks for joining the team.
