Biography
Elizabeth Ida Christian was the daughter of Samuel Christian and Esther F. Bearry.[1] According to her Social Security Application, She was born on 23 Aug 1914 in Miles City, Montana, the daughter of Sam Christian and Esther F. Beatty.[2][1][3]
In 1930, Elizabeth I. Christian was living in Spokane, Spokane, Washington, with her parents, Samuel and Esther F. Christian. Samuel was a carpenter in the building trades.[4]
In 1940, Sam Christian and his wife Esther lived in Nine Mile, Nine Mile Township, Spokane, Washington, with two Carrier grandsons. Sam was a farmer. They lived in the same house in 1935.[5]
Elizabeth Christian of Nine Mile Falls, Washington, and Robert C. Carrier of Spokane, were married on 26 Aug 1933 in Spokane County, Washington. The ceremony was performed by D. L. Clarke, Minister, with Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Walker was witnesses.[6] Robert and Elizabeth were divorced by 25 Mar 1940.[1] Based on the 1940 Us Census, it appears that Robert and Elizabeth had two children:
- Donald Carrier, b. ca. 1933 Oregon
- Robert Carrier, b. ca. 1934 Washington
In 1940, two Carrier grandsons, Donald and Robert, were living with Sam and Esther Christian in Nine Mile Falls, Spokane.[7]
On 23 Mar 1940, Elizabeth Ida Carrier of Havre, Montana, married Howard White, the son of Wesley White and Dorene Corben, in Hill County, Montana.[1]
"Betty" Christian White died on 23 Nov 2006[2] in Clark County, Washington.[8][3]
