Biography

Carl was born in 1828. Enlisted, 23 June 1857, at New York, and assigned to Company H, 10th United States Infantry. Killed in action in the Battle of Valverde, New Mexico. This was his 3rd enlistment. Also had service in the 3rd United States Artillery, Battery H.
