Biography
Mary was born about 1806/7 in Dollar, Clackmannanshire.[1]
She married James Greig in Dollar in 1839. They had at least six children:
- John Greig (1840-1916)
- Helen (Greig) Hornby (1843-)
- James Greig (1844-1913)
- Mary (Greig) Neame (1846-1906)
- Isabella Greig (1849-)
- Peter Greig (1850-1935)
Daughter Helen emigrated to New Zealand in 1860 aboard the 'Stormcloud', [2][3][4] with the rest of the family folllowing on the Pladda in 1861.[5][6]
She passed away in 1882[7] and is buried in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin.[8]
