Biography

Jane CHRISTIE was born about 1864 in County Londonderry, Ireland. Her father was Ralph CHRISTIE (from marriage certificate, a Farmer)

Henry MORGAN and Jane CHRISTIE were married on 24 July 1883 at Glendermott, County Londonderry[1].

Their children included:

Thomas Henry MORGAN 1885–1918
Leslie Christie MORGAN 1888–1947
Edith Emily MORGAN 1890–1976
Jeanette MORGAN 1893–1901
William Charles MORGAN 1896–1973
Earnest Ralph MORGAN 1900–1967

1901, 37 year old, wife and mother, Jane MORGAN was living in Drumard (Tullyniskane, Tyrone) with her husband, Henry (age 70, Farmer) and their children, Thomas (16), Leslie (14), Edith (11), William Charles (5) and Earnest Ralph (1)[2].

Husband, Henry passed away in 1909 in County Tyrone, Ireland.

She passed away on 16 October 1939 in Singleton, New South Wales, Australia[3] and was buried at the Glenridding Uniting Church Cemetery, Singleton, Singleton Council, New South Wales, Australia[4].

DEATH OF MRS JANE MORGAN.
The death occurred on Monday last of Mrs Jane Morgan, at the age of 82. Deceased, who was a widow, resided with her son and in-law, Mr and Mrs Charles Morgan, of Glenridding Road. Born in Northern Ireland, the late Mrs Morgan had lived in N. S. Wales for the past 26 years. She had not enjoyed good health for the last two years. Her death bereaves three sons and daughter of a loved mother. They are Charles, Leslie, Ernest, and Edith. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian cemetery, Glenridding. Rev. J. S. Rapkins took the service at the church and graveside, and Messrs Partridge Bros, were in charge of funeral arrangements.

According to her obituary Jane arrived in Australia about 1913, unfortunately more research is required.
