At the time of the 1870 Census, Lucinda and Samuel Reece resided at the Forks of Pigeon in Haywood County.
In the 1880 census, Andrew J. Lambert, age 35, miner, resided with Burton Reece, whose father William Reece was Samuel's nephew, in that same community. In 1884 Andrew Jackson "Jack" Lambert would marry the Reece's daughter Louisa Jane.
