Born 1795, John Church was born 5 Sept 1795 in Nova Scotia. John was the son of Edward Church (1744-1801) and Mary Shaw (abt. 1763-abt. Nov 1805). Recorded in the Windsor Township Book. [1]
1823 Marriage, John Church married Lucinda Hicks on 13 Nov 1823 at Granville, NS. [1] Lucinda was the daughter of John Hicks Jr (1755-1815) of Portsmouth, Rhode Island and Sarah Church of Middletown, R.I. (born 27 Jan 1757) the daughter of Constant Church and Hannah Woodworth of Falmouth, NS. [2]
