Biography

Maria Churchill was baptized on the 17 April 1774 in the St. Mary's Church Winterborne. Her parents were Lawrence and Elizabeth. She had an older brother named Thomas who was baptized on the 19 April 1772. ^[1]

Marriage

Maria Churchill married Thomas Shave on the 31st of December 1804 in St. Mary's, Winterborne. Both signed their names. Witnesses were Johnathon Bellamy and Joyce Rogers. The Vicar was James Dowland. ^[2]

Death and Burial

Maria Shave was buried in Whatcombe, Dorset on Sept 28 1826 aged 53; Vicar JJ Dowland performed the service. (entry 93)

Her husband Thomas Shave would be buried there 30 years later.
Thomas Shave, was buried in Whatcombe, Dorset on June 17th 1856, aged 94, Vicar J. R. Cottis officiating Minister (entry 415) ^[3]
