Biography

William was baptised on 19 September 1784 at Mangotsfield, Bristol by parents Samuel and Hannah. [1]

On 4 July 1818 William married Martha Brain in Bristol. [2]

The couple baptised a number of children in Bristol:

1821 Isaac
1824 Joseph [3]
1826 Isaac [4]
1827 William [5]
1830 Samuel [6]
1832 Martha Maria [7]

In 1851 William was living with daughter Harriet Mary Ann in Bristol. He had been born in Mangotsfield and was married. He was a Shoe Maker. Martha was not on the register. [8]

No definitive death record can be found for William but Martha was a widow aged 71 when she died in 1866. She had been living in Broad Plain Parish of St Philip and Jacob in Bristol and her executor was son Samuel. [9]
