This person was one of the early settlers of Île Bourbon.
Françoise's birth year is based on the age given in the censuses of 1704, 1709 and 1711. She was one of the fifteen orphan girls sent from France bound for Île Bourbon, but ending up at Fort Dauphin. She married Jacques Lièvre but he was killed in an attack on the Fort soon after. She was among the survivors who were evacuated from Fort Dauphin and finally landed on Île Bourbon in 1676.
Françoise then married Michel Esparon about 1677; he had arrived on the island about eight years earlier. They had two daughters before Michel died in about 1684.
A year later she married Jacques Carré de Talhoët, and they had three children together before he died in 1693.
Her last marriage was to Augustin Panon in 1694, and they had five children.
Françoise died in 1730, having lived about seventy very eventful years.
