Biography
The son of Jonas Berley Frick (1892-1978) and Annie Mae Riddle (1896-1979), Ardell Frick was born in Chapin, South Carolina[citation needed] in 1925, residing there with his family.[1][2] His siblings included:
Willie Mac Frick (1914-1968)
Nezzie Mae Frick (1916-2009)
Jonas Earl Frick (1918-2005)
John David Frick (1921-2001)

Ardell registered for the World War II draft when he was 21, registering in Chapin, South Carolina on March 31, 1947.[3] He enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from July 2, 1943 through May 4, 1946.[citation needed]
After the war, Ardell returned to South Carolina, marrying Ethel (Clamp) Frick in Prosperity, South Carolina on June 2, 1946[citation needed] and making their home in 1950 in Mendenhall, South Carolina[4] Ardell did not list an occupation on the 1950 federal census; his wife later worked at the South Carolina Department of Welfare while Ardell completed a course of education at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.
Ardell Frick passed away at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina[5][6][7] at the age of 57 and is buried at Union Lutheran Church cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.[8]
