Harry Clapham was born in Rigton, Yorkshire, England.

Harry was born in 1887^[1][3][4] , in Rigton^[3] , Yorkshire. He was the son of Mary Ann (Wilkinson) and Samuel Clapham.

Harry married Eveline Walton^[3][4] on 11 June 1910 at Raskelf, Yorkshire^[2]. The couple had six children: Ethel (1910 - 2002)^[3][4], Edith (1914 - X), Elsie (1916 - X), William (1920 - 2000)^[4], Harry (1922 - 2001) and Mary (1924 - 2004).

The Clapham family lived in North Rigton^[3][4], Yorkshire where Harry worked as a plate layer^[3] and a permanent way ganger^[4] on the railways.

He died, aged 80^[5], in 1967^[5] in Harrogate General Hospital, Harrogate, Yorkshire.
