Biography

When George William Clapp was born on February 10, 1872, in Marshall, Alabama, his father, Alexander, was 30 and his mother, Martha, was 33. He was the first husband of Sarah Louise “Louie” DeVaughn, married in 1901. He died on December 12, 1906, in Sequoyah, Oklahoma, at the age of 34, and was buried in Marble City, Oklahoma.
