I think I have found one issue: I think that the book by Whitsett The History of Brick Church and the Clapp Family has the (incomplete) list of children for Valentine switched with the (incomplete) list of brother Ludwig's children - from Ludwig's list of heirs with sons-in-law Daniel May and George Ingle - these are Ludwig's daughters' husbands, not George Valentine's.

Therefore, their sons George, or George Tobias or Tobias and John George are all mixed up. It is driving me crazy and therefore, I must figure it out!

Can someone please attach his daughter Anna Maria Clapp-60?
Clapp-60 is not his daughter,

And that is true because I meant to type Clapp-608! Thanks Dave, can you check that one instead?
Thanks Kathleen. I've added her. It looks like Find A Grave has her conflated with her sister Sophia Catherine. But they are clearly different people although they both married Foust's. Both their husbands are listed in their father's will.

Clapp-1096 and Klapp-51 appear to represent the same person because: Clapp-1096 and Klapp-51 have similar birth years and are both married to a Anna Margareta Strader ie Stader-130 and Stauder-84. The source on both profiles are the same Ship, naturalisation, and will.

UNKNOWN-182752 and Klapp-51 appear to represent the same person because: These look like the same person. Klapp-51 information is accurate.

Please change LNAB to Clapp

If this is incorrect please add explanatory note to the biography.

Klop-4 and Klapp-51 appear to represent the same person because: Same person - merge into Klapp

Clapp-1145 and Klapp-51 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these to be duplicates. Please do not reverse the order (if you disagree let's discuss this, merges can not be undone). I believe that Klapp was a correct German spelling and should be retained. Thanks for your consideration. -Ray

I agree with Ray Clark's comment that Clapp-1145 needs to be merged into this profile. He is apparently his brother with the same name, same parents, same birth date and location, same death location, and death date only a year off, and the same wife, married in the same year. (Although there is a dispute about where the marriage took place!) This proposed merge is listed as an "Unmerged Match," but I do not see the comments explaining why. Aren't these two profiles the same guy? I would like to suggest we merge them.

Clapp-318 and Klapp-51 appear to represent the same person because: When he arrived in Philadelphia at age 16 with his father John Joseph Jost Klapp and family, the family was using "Klapp" as the spelling.

There is also another Clapp-1145, that needs to be merged as soon as these 2 are complete.
