The will of David Clapp of Scituate was dated 27 March 1764 and proved on 19 January 1773 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Deborah (she is bequeathed the continued enslavement of his black girl named Amy and at her death to his grandson David Clapp), and his children, Increase Clapp (executor), Joshua Clapp, David Clapp, decd, Galen Clapp (executor) (he is bequeathed the continued enslavement of his black boy named London), Deborah Little, Mary Torrey, and Abijah Clapp, and his grandchildren, David Clapp (son of his deceased son David), and Dwelly Clapp.[2]

Primus a black servant of Thomas Bryant, Esqr., married Dills a black servant to Capt David Clap]], on 26 January 1739/40 in Scituate.[3]
On 20 April 1751 in Scituate, Cuffe, an enslaved black man of Deacon Stodder married Dille, an enslaved black woman of Capt David Clap.[4]
