Biography

Maria Barbara (Clapp) Clapp was born in 1737 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Ludwig Clapp and Anna Margaret (Strader) Clapp. In her father's estate paperwork, her husband Daniel May is mentioned as an heir, receiving their "part" of her father's estate (her sisters' husbands are mentioned in the same way).

FYI - Steve Clapp website http://steveclapp.com/Gen/Thomas%20Clapp/b2006.htm#P2006 has different info and on the page for John Phillip Clapp, says there is a source (Vance book) that explains why she can't be his wife... looks more likely to me that Clapp-107 is the dau. of John Ludwig Clapp and that the Find A Grave memorial is incorrect
