Nehemiah Clapp was baptized at Dorchester, MA on Oct. 10, 1646, son of Edward Clapp and his second wife, Susan Cockerill. (p. 78)[1]
His father's will dated Jan. 3, 1664/5 and proved Feb. 1, 1664/5, son Nehemiah is stated to be not yet 21 years of age and unmarried, and will receive at marriage or age, one-half of the housing, land, orchard, meadow, woodland and one quarter of the mill. [1]
He married at Hingham, MA on April 14, 1678, Sarah Leavitt. [1][2]Sarah was born Feb. 25, 1658/9, daughter of John Leavitt and his second wife Sarah. (p. 428)[3][4]
They lived for a time in Hingham, then removed to Dorchester. His wife owned the covenant in Dorchester the July 29, 1677 and on Aug. 26, 1682, Nehemiah and his wife were dismissed from the Church in Hingham and joined the Church in Dorchester. [4]
He died at Dorchester, MA on April 2, 1684. [1][5][4]

Submit born Aug. 2, 1683; died Jan. 29, 1759 and buried at Stow; married first on March 20, 1708, Joseph Britnall at Sudbury; married second, Richard Taylor at Sudbury on July 23, 1741 [7]; married a third time, intentions published Nov. 30, 1755, to Deacon Timothy Gibson of Stow. [4][8]
