He married Emma Langley in Stockton, Durham, England in 1873.[4]
In 1881 he lived in South Lynn All Saints, Norfolk, England at Plowrights Yard. The census states that he was born in King's Lynn, Norfolk and he was living with his wife, and their two sons (John and James). Alfred is listed as being a Bricklayer. [5]
In 1891 he lived on Checker Street in South Lynn, Norfolk with his wife and their 7 children. [6]
By 1901, they had moved to East Ham, Essex, England. [7]
In June of 1908, they immigrated to Canada on the ship Lake Champlain. [8]
In 1911, Alfred, Emma, and two of their sons were living in Ontario, Canada. [9]
He passed away on 03 Mar 1919 in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada [10]
