William was born in 1857 in Lumpkin County, Georgia and is listed with his parents: A.b. Clark and Nancy (Turner) Clark and seven siblings on the 1860 Census. [1] He married Mary (Ash) Clark on September 23, 1876 in his hometown of Lumpkin. [2] On the 1880 Census they are listed together in White, Georgia and list two children and Mary's sister (Sarah Ash). [3] The 1900 Census has the family living in the same location [4] and in 1910 they are listed in Wilcox, Georgia. [5] It is believed that William passed away in July of 1913 in Hall, Georgia; however it should be noted that "Billion Graves" may have a listing for him that indicates he passed away in July of 1918 instead.
