Biography

Herbert Clark was born in 1894 in Ontario, Canada. His parents were William Thomas Clark and Margaret English. But records are inconsistent:

- His Ontario birth registration said the place of birth was Osprey, Ontario (a rural township located in Grey County, Ontario).

- His World War I draft registration said he was born at Flesherton, Ontario (a rural area in Grey County, Ontario)

- His World War II draft registration said he was born at "Rock Mells, Ontario" - likely it meant Rock Mills, Ontario, which is now a "ghost town".

- His Idaho death certificate in 1961 said he was born in Alberta, rather than Ontario (clealy an error).

He married Vera Howell, date and place unknown. No record of the marriage has been found.

He died on 17 April 1961 at Wilder, Idaho. The record made no mention of a wife, Vera, so she is presumed to have predeceased him.
