He moved to Gastonia after Jane's death to live with daughters Julie and Bertha. Larry remembers him being blind (cataracts?) and enjoying a chew from rope-twist tobacco.

He moved to Gastonia 1940s after Jane's death to live with daughters Julie Cunningham and Bertha. Larry remembers him being blind (cataracts?) and enjoying a chew from rope-twist tobacco. He also remembers one visit as child when they had a caged groundhog in the kitchen. Guess what they planned to do with it.
