On Wednesday, the 24th of June, a marriage was celebrated at the resi dence of the bride's father, between Mr. W. Hine, of Carlton, and Miss Alice Clark, second daughter of Mr. William Clark, of " Tel-el-Kebir," Mont Albert. The Rev. A. McDonald officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of fawn cloth with vest of cream satin covered with silk tea lace, and stylish hat to match. She was attended by her sister, Miss Lillie Clark, and Miss Adelaide Hine, (the bridegroom's sister), who were suitably attired. Messrs. G. Hine and Fred. Clark acted as groomsmen. After the cere mony the guests repaired to the dining room where a sumptuous wed ding breakfast was served, merry good wishes flew about, and after receiving them all Mr. and Mrs. Hine departed on a secret wedding tour. The travel ling dress was of blue cloth, cape and toque en suite. The wedding remembrances were numerous and handsome.
