Lewis M Clark was born around 1833 in Pennsylvania to Lewis and Rhoda Clark. He married Huldah Hopkins. They had 9 children, 8 of them living as of the 1900 US Census. Lewis served in the Civil War as a Private in the 4th Regiment, New York Heavy Artillery.[1][2] He died on 28 May 1892 in Chicopee, Kansas.
