Biography

Marietta Clark,, born on 13 July 1810 in North Carolina, was a daughter of Nancy (Reddick) Clark (abt.1777-abt.1845) and Samuel Clark Jr (abt.1768-1843)^[1] She married Stephen Fountain (1806-1890) on 1 March 1825.^[2]

Marietta and Stephen, along with his parents, removed to Indiana thru the Cumberland Gap, with all of their possessions in a small one horse wagon. Marietta carried their first born child Elizabeth Fountain)for much of the journey Together they had at least ten children listed below. She died on 28 Oct 1884 in Lawrence Indiana. ^[3]
