Reverend John Clark was the father of Mary Louisa Clark who married John A. Young on 10-13-1869 in Schuyler County, Illinois, License # 4535.
There are two John Clarks of similar age in Schuyler County, both born in Pennsylvania. This John is the clergyman; his wife was Ann, also from Pennsylvania, and he was still alive in 1880. The other John was married to Mary, from Virginia[1], and he died in 1863.[2]
The 1880 census says that John's parents were born in Ireland.[3]
