In 1998 the following article was published on the English origins of the Clarke family:
New England Historical and Genealogical Register, vol. 152 no. 1 (January 1998): 3-23. The English Ancestry of Joseph Clark (1613-1683) of Dedham and Medfield, Massachusetts, by Christopher Gleason Clark. [1]
and updated in 1999
New England Historical and Genealogical Register, vol. 153 no. 2 (April 1999): 180-182. Colborne Origins and Clark Revelations, by Christopher Gleason Clark. [2]
This is *THE* State of current research.
The initial article identified the parents of Priscilla Clark as almost certainly the daughter of Thomas Clarke of Wesgatet and Mary Canne. [1] However, the followup article showed this to be incorrect. The all the children of Thomas Clarke and Mary Canne were explicitly named in the will of Faith Catton of Banham, and Priscilla was not among them. Though likely closely related, this will eliminates the possibility that Priscilla was the daughter of Thomas Clarke. [2]
Biography
She may have arrived with Rowland Clarke who arrived 1637 in Dedham and then removed to Medfield. He came from Banham, Suffolk; England. She was likely closely related to Rowland Clarke, though her exact connection remains unknown; she was not his sister as previously hypothesized. [1][2][3][4][5]

Clark-25729 and Clark-2988 appear to represent the same person because: This goes along with the proposed merge of her husband Nathaniel Colburn-634 and Colburne-5
Clarke-3152 and Clark-2988 appear to represent the same person because: When Roland Clarke's two pages were merged, these duplicate profiles showed up on his merged page. I propose we merge these as well.
