Timothy Fielding and Jerusha Clark married on 21 October 1773. On 16 January 1786, she petitioned the Middlesex Courts for divorce from Timothy for desertion. Timothy had "joined the enemy of the United States" and had not returned or she had not had any support from him.[1]
Jonathan Brainard married as his third wife on 23 Feb 1786, Jerusha (Clark) Fielding, daughter of Benajah and Hannah Clark, and ex-wife of Timothy Fielding of Middle Haddam, Connecticut. Her will was probated 14 April 1825. In it she speaks of Jonathan Brainard as deceased.[2]
