Biography

Ralph was born on the 12th of April 1913 in Springfield, Massachusetts.^[1] He was the son of Willard Johnson Clark (1877-1948) and Emma Linda (Jackson-Curtis) Clark (1879-1956).^[1]

Ralph married Irene Alda (Leber) Clark (1911-2002).^[2][3][4][5] They raised four children.

3. Diane Clark. ^[5]
4. Nancy Clark. ^[5]

According to the 1940 census his occupation was listed as truck driver.^[4] His obituary in the Springfield Union notes that he was "a well known bus driver for the Springfield Street Railway Company and a well known square dance caller."^[5] He and his wife were the founders of a Vagabond Square Dance Club in the Springfield area.^[2]

He passed away on the 4th of May 1974 in Springfield, Massachusetts at the age of sixty-one.^[6][7] He was laid to rest in West Brookfield, Massachusetts at Pine Grove Cemetery.^[8][5]
