Biography

When Lieut Nathaniel Clark was born on October 11, 1706, in Northampton, Massachusetts, his father, Nathaniel Clark, was 25 and his mother, Hannah Sheldon, was 23.

He married Sarah Kingsley on October 31, 1728, in his hometown of Northampton, Massachusetts,.

They had five children in 18 years. Joel Clark, born 1731, Sarah Clark, born 1735, Lucy Clark, born 1737, Nathaniel Clark, born 1749. and Phebe Clark, born 1749.

He died on July 11, 1773, in Northampton, Massachusetts, at the age of 66, and was buried there.^[1]

Nathaniel Clark wrote his Will, 26th of March, 1773 at Northampton, Hamphire, MA^[2]. In it he names: Wife Sarah, sons Joel & Nathaniel & daughters, Sarah, Naomi, Rachel, Phebe & Lucy, deceased, wife of Ebenezer Strong. Rachel & Phebe are singled out as being unmarried. He also mentions his grand daughter Lucy Strong.
