Franklin (21) married Nellie Pearl Hoover (15) (born on August 22, 1889 in Colton, Utah) on October 6, 1904.
Franklin died on January 23, 1970 in Whittier, Los Angeles County, , aged 87. He is commemorated at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles County, California, USA (plot: Suncrest Lawn, Gate 17, Section 4, Lot 1343, Grave 3).[2][1]
