Lyman was born in 1795 in Vermont, according to census records. He passed away in 1879 and is buried in Strykersville, NY, as is his wife Eleanor Cooper Clark. In Ancestry's NY Wills and Probate Records, Lyman is said to live in Castile, Wyoming Co, NY, when he signed his will. This town juts into Java.
